A simple pilot project demonstrating affordable housing, shared resources, and local entrepreneurship.

Our first micro project begins with something practical: remodeling an existing bungalow and expanding it to create five brand-new micro suites. Each suite will provide a compact private living space with its own full bathroom and kitchenette, while the original bungalow becomes a shared community hub with amenities that support comfortable living and productive work.

Shared Spaces that Support Living and Creating
While each resident has their own private suite, the main bungalow provides shared amenities designed to make everyday life easier and encourage creativity.
Shared features include:
• Large approved home-based commercial kitchen for preparing food products for farmers markets and small businesses
• Basement storage units for each micro suite
• Large craft work counter for handmade goods
• Laundry facilities
• Small exercise room
• Wellness area with jacuzzi bath and sauna
• Parking and garden space

Sustainable Building
The new micro suites will be constructed using hempcrete walls, creating a durable, fire-resistant structure with breathable natural insulation. Hempcrete helps regulate temperature and moisture while reducing environmental impact, demonstrating how sustainable building methods can be used in practical housing projects today.
Affordable Living with Opportunity
Micro suites in this type of setting typically rent for approximately $700–$1,250 per month, depending on location and amenities. This model offers affordable housing while also giving residents the access to luxuries and the ability to create, produce, and sell handmade goods.
A Pilot Project for a Bigger Vision
This first home serves as a demonstration project for a much larger idea: communities where housing, sustainability, and small-scale local enterprise work together.
By starting with one property, we can test the concept, refine the design, and prove the model before expanding into larger developments.
